For one night only, the magnificent Assembly Rooms Ballroom will be transformed by local designers into an opulent Moulin Rouge-style environment where 300 glamourous revelers will enjoy a feature-length show featuring feather fans and silk stockings, high comedy and slapstick humour, tassel twirling and daring acrobatics. And the sensational finale will be Miss Lily White’s famous Champagne Bubbles routine!
But there’s more! Not only will there be a spectacular stage show featuring some of the UK’s finest cabaret performers - Boudiche, Edinburgh’s award-winning designer lingerie emporium, will be hosting the Boudiche Burlesque Boudoir, where you can relax and try luxurious corsetry from Eternal Spirits and other top brands. Lily is as pleased as punch to have been shortlisted for “Best Female Performer” in the 2007 Ministry of Burlesque Awards, alongside Immodesty Blaize, Gwendoline Lamour and Red Sarah. The awards ceremony takes place on 6th May at the Pigalle Club in London’s West End.

A giant, glittering gold gift box is opened by 2 glamourous showgirls to unleash a dozen multicoloured helium balloons and Miss Lily in a glittering pink satin corset, diamonds and feathers. She performs a classic burlesque striptease routine, which culminates in a floating balloon fan dance atop the box!

Imagine the drowsy heat of a warm summer's afternoon, and the sound of bees droning in the garden... a perfect day for a spot of gardening, in fact. Miss Lily is resplendent in a white, full-skirted period gown, straw hat and gloves, and a basket of her favourite flowers - lilies, of course! She arranges them in a vase, but her exertions, combined with the warmth of the day, the heady scent of the blooms and the tightness of her corset conspire to overwhelm her, and she simply must loosen her clothing... After removing her corset and stockings, she uses her flowers to cover her modesty, before distributing them to a few fortunate members of the audience. Divine midsummer madness, sure to get you hot and bothered!

Miss Lily White is one of the UK's leading burlesque performers, and a regular headline act at London's renowned Whoopee Club, the home of British Burlesque. Her teaching experience ranges from private lessons to music video choreography and group classes.

Imagine the scene: a beautiful redhead appears on stage, perched on a giant silver ice bucket containing a 6-foot bottle of Champagne, with balloon bubbles cascading down the side and over her golden Swarovski crystal-embellished body… She toasts the audience, and then coquettishly performs a classic balloon-popping striptease, in a cloud of golden glitter. The BBC Does Burlesque!
Burlesque hits the small screens with a special on the Whoopee Club to tie in with the release of the new feature film, "Mrs Henderson Presents", about the founder of London's historic Windmill Theatre, the home of the famous Nude Revue and the Tableaux Vivant. Starring Lily White plus other of the UK's foremost burlesque artistes, this promises to be one of the most entertaining programmes of the winter schedule, so keep your eyes peeled!
